Joel Roskind

Joel Roskind is a retired plastic surgeon who served as a surgeon and teacher for 30 years. He believes that good medical care needs to be patient oriented. Patients put their trust in a doctor's ability, therefore, doctors have a responsibility to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Joel Roskind was given the task of examining free standing ambulatory surgical facilities to assure 100% compliance with the rigid safety criteria. These regulations are now considered the gold standards in these facilities.

Since retiring, Joel Roskind has had the opportunity to use his expertise as a consultant in a field called practice management. This allows him to share his knowledge of setting up a well run medical practice. This includes hiring and training staff, setting up electronic management systems, preventing errors, and working effectively with patients. Patients should be protected by stringent standards, and most major health care insurers now insist on these facilities being 100% certified.
