Jerry Murdock: Managing Director

Since the inception of Insight Venture Partners in 1995, Jerry Murdock has played a leading role in defining the company's investment strategy. His primary responsibility has been the development of many of the firm’s portfolio investments. Prior to Insight Venture Partners, he was a founder and director of the Aspen Technology Group. The mission of the institute is to foster values-based leadership, encouraging individuals to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and to provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.

Jerry Murdock graduated from San Diego University with a degree in Political Science. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of both The Santa Fe Institute and The Aspen Institute. He was a contributor to the export competitiveness project while working at the Georgetown Center for Strategic & International Studies (now known as CSIS). He has previously served as director of Click Commerce, Convergent Group, Digital Harbor, Illuminet Inc., In-Fusio, McKinley, Peace Software, Quest Software, and SeeBeyond Technology Corp. Jerry Murdock currently serves as director of Fuze Box, Inc., Dorado Software, DivX Inc., DriveCam and Beatport.
