Mohammed Babangida

According to Mohammed Babangida, the turnout for the 2009 Polo Invitational and exhibition match was impressive. This was an unprecedented turnout condsidering the fact that the sport is relatively new in Dubai. Mohammed stated that the primary purpose of the match was to foster and promote healthy business relationships as well as explore all business avenues and opportunities. Babangida lives in Niger State, Nigeria where he currently serves as special advisor to the Santa Isabel Petroleum Company. He is responsible for coordinating and negotiating with appropriate governmental agencies in behalf of Santa Isabel. Mohammed Babangida completed his education in the U.S. and Europe, and has earned a reputation as an innovative and energetic businessman.

Mohammed Babangida has served as the chairman of the board and head of the credit committee for Intercity Bank, PLC, and currently sits on the board of Unity Bank, PLC. His enormous energy and enthusiasm are demonstrated in his dedication to positive results and his motivation and commitment to his family and philanthropic activities. He is a lover of sports, and is a member of the Kaduna Polo Club and is an accomplished polo player. He enjoys reading and listening to jazz, traditional African music, and rhythm and blues.
